Another Long Term WIP Finished.

One of the things I’ve spent the last year doing is trying to finish some of my long term WIPs that have been languishing or that I put aside to make a sale and forgot to go back to. At the end of last year, I finished a fisherman’s gansey for RiverSystem that I started… Continue reading Another Long Term WIP Finished.

The Secret Sisters In Concert

If you’ve never been to The Tunnels before, I would recommend it as a really cool place to go! It’s difficult to find the first time, but once you know where it is then you won’t forget again! Basically it’s two former train storage tunnels underneath Temple Meads Train Station. Think Thomas the Tank’s storage shed and you’ll kind of get the idea! Or maybe that episode where Gordon decided he didn’t want to go out in the rain and got bricked up in the tunnel! Anyway, it’s really cosy and intimate and you feel like you can get up close with the performers! We were sat in the front row though…

Self Care CAL – Men Need Self Care Too…

I was reminded this week that men need self care too so I wanted to write a post about this. In my opinion, there’s not a lot that men can do that women can’t and vice versa but I thought I’d share some blokey things you could do. Build a man cave. – If you… Continue reading Self Care CAL – Men Need Self Care Too…

Bullet Journaling For the 21st Centuary

At the beginning of the year, I began Bullet Journaling. (Bujo for short.) I really enjoyed it but I lost interest because it just didn’t work for me. And even more importantly I got really discouraged by the fact that everyone else’s looked so much better than my efforts! I’ve never been good at making… Continue reading Bullet Journaling For the 21st Centuary

Soppy Sunday – A Sonnet by Alfred Lord Tennyson…

A few years ago I bought this book in Hay on Wye… (I have a thing for rescuing antique books by beloved authors from the unloving second hand shop) It’s called Tennyson’s Poetic Works and it part of The Globe Edtion published by Macmillan & Co. This book was published in 1899. The book didn’t… Continue reading Soppy Sunday – A Sonnet by Alfred Lord Tennyson…

Looking For The Silver Lining – September 2016

The end of this month crept up on me this month so this post is a day late which means my wip bag post will also be a day late. I’ve been spending a lot of time resting this month and keeping myself busy with knitting and crochet. I’ve finished a lot of projects and… Continue reading Looking For The Silver Lining – September 2016

Challenge Accepted…

RiverSystem and I have an agreement that any money he spends on his hobby (I.e. Any new musical instruments or computer games) I would match on yarnie spending. It came about first because he wanted to spend £750 on a guitar which admittedly was lush so I said that I’d spend £750 on yarn so… Continue reading Challenge Accepted…
